Summary of Duties

Coordinate the Cougar Choice Housing program. Conduct and/or coordinate inspections for Cougar Choice Housing certification. Facilitate marketing efforts and create networking opportunities with area housing officials.

This position is responsible for the development and implementation of the Cougar Choice Housing program and will establish processes and procedures, establish working relationships with on and off-campus entities, and promote the program including communication with students and external individuals.

In addition, the position will also serve as an advisor to ASWSU Committees, including the Judicial Board, Election Board, and the Issues & Forums Program Committee. Responsible for training students, interpreting policies, and procedures, overseeing committee budgets, reviewing contracts, leadership development, and program development. Work with the committees to ensure proper execution and coordination of their programs and services, coordinating with offices and departments such as Admissions, Dean of Students, Multicultural Student Services, Environmental Health and Safety, Public Safety, Attorney General, etc.

Position Qualifications

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to area of specialization and three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Additional Requirements

Experience organizing and/or promoting programs or events.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

Experience working with a diverse population.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree.

Two years experience in a student activities office in a college setting.

Experience advising student organizations.

Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team.

Experience with program development and implementation.
